At times I get questions about what gear I use for my photography and filmmaking so I put together a list of my current setup although I do experiment and try out various other cameras and lenses that aren’t on this list.

Leica M10P

My first Leica digital camera that I fell in love with on day 1. Not the best at higher ISO’s but this is what made me love photography again.

Leica 50mm 2.5 Summarit-M

When I’m not shooting wide this is what is on my Leica. Modern rendering without paying summicron and summilux prices.

Sony A7iv

The workhorse camera for photo and video. It gets the job but it’s not something that calls to me or makes me want to grab it for fun.

Sony 70-200mm 4.0 G

This is the first version of this lens and it works great for what I use it for. Fast autofocus, small for a 70-200mm and as sharp as I need it to be.

DJI Mic Mini

These little microphones are great. I always get distracted by seeing big microphones attached to people’s shirts even if “big” is just still small DJI Mic 2. No internal recording is the big trade-off with these microphones but the connect right away with the pocket 3 and are what I reach for when recording audio.

Peak Design Sling Bag

A nice small bag to when carrying a lighter setup. Holds a camera and a lens as long as it’s not the 70-200.

Leica Elmarit-M 24mm 2.8

My most used M mount lens. Very wide, vignettes a bit when wide open but I love it.

Leica 75mm 2.5 Summarit-M:

My “when I need it, it’s good to have it” lens. Rarely used but a good quality longer lens in M mount.

Sony 24-50mm 2.8G

I picked up this lens in early 2024 and I love it. Small compared to the 24-70 and very lightweight. Great weight if you want versatility while filming on a gimbal.

DJI Osmo Pocket 3

Creators Edition. This little camera is next to perfect. Replaces the need to use a larger camera for vlogging. Active track works great and DLOG-M makes the files nice and flat. Works great with the included DJI Mic 2 or the DJI Mic Mini for audio.

Rollei 35SE - Film Camera

Found this camera very cheap at a flea market. It needed a good clean and the light meter doesn’t work but the rest functions perfect. Great little film camera to to shoot with.
